BidCarbon marketplace, a spot carbon data asset trading platform jointly launched by BidCarbon Big Data (Chengdu) Co., Ltd (BCBD) and the BidCarbon Foundation, marks an important step in streamlining the process of purchasing carbon credits and improving the transparency of carbon credit purchases. The platform not only facilitates the purchase of carbon credits, but also aims to accelerate positive climate impact at scale.

One notable feature of the BidCarbon marketplace is its commitment to expansion. In addition to carbon credits, the platform plans to incorporate other types of carbon credits and carbon data rights certificates administered through their schemes. This broader scope reflects a dedication to addressing various aspects of environmental impact and sustainability.

An important development slated for January 1, 2025, is the transition from carbon credit certifications to carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs). This shift signifies a strategic move toward a more comprehensive approach to ownership attribution. Carbon Data Rights Certificates will serve as the primary means to demonstrate ownership, offering a modernized and versatile solution within the marketplace.

The BidCarbon marketplace is a forward-thinking initiative that streamlines carbon credit transactions and lays the groundwork for a more inclusive and robust system for managing environmental assets.
