Ledger data

We are transitioning from Carbon Credit Certificates to Carbon Data Certificates. All digital monitoring, record keeping, and auditing requirements must be met when executing your project. The BidCarbon Standard Scheme requires project proponents to provide ledger data.

Serial number ledger

The project proponent is responsible for collecting data and using metering equipment to specify the file format, which is then transferred to the BidCarbon dMRV, Generate serial number data. This ensures the data is available for assessing eligibility in BCU claims.

You must upload your data as a .csv or .xlsx file.

All information listed must match the details in the Register a Project section.

Uploading data

To upload your serial number data, you need to have a current System Registry account.

To upload:

open the BidCarbon dMRV

log in to your System Registry account

select 'pyrolysis system'

select 'select project'

select 'upload data'

make your declaration and upload your .csv or .xlsxfile.

Serial numbers as ineligible/invalid

If you uploaded incorrect data, including ineligible facilities or measuring equipment, The TRC's internal audit data manager will mark serial numbers as ineligible. The BRU Registry term is 'invalid'.

Data storage

Only internal staff have access to our stored data. We use controls and frameworks under the Protective Security Policy Framework to protect our data.

Compliance

Failing to provide the data can lead to:

delayed processing

inability to assess BRU claims
