Access to the BUC Registry

What the system is used for

The BUC Registry is a secure electronic system designed to track the location and ownership of BidCarbon removal units (BRUs) and carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs) issued under the BidCarbon Standard Scheme.

Organisations and individuals are required to use the BUC Registry if they want to own, transfer, cancel, or relinquish units or certificates .

Types of eligible units and certificates which can be held and traded through the BUC Registry include:

BidCarbon removal units (BRUs)

Carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs)

The BUC Registry also provides access to public registers including the:

Project and contract

Issuance

The BidCarbon Registry of Units Specifications and the BidCarbon Registry of Units Guides underpin the BUC Registry.

You must apply for the BUC Registry through the Technical Governance Committee's Online Services.
