Small-scale technology unit
To encourage the use of Open Source Ecology, the BidCarbon Foundation provides incentives in the form of small-scale technology certificates (STCs). Individuals or businesses can participate in projects by installing an eligible small-scale technology unit.

Our role
We administer the eligibility of biochar production systems by:
● ensuring compliance with the scheme
● reviewing AWT facility applications
● maintaining the register of accredited AWT facilities
● managing facility and unit inspections
● educating industry participants on how the scheme operates
● taking compliance action where necessary
The Technical Governance Committee (TGC) oversees the eligibility and approval of facilities or units for use within a method.
