Carbon data rights certificate requirements

These guidelines are designed to assist registered agents in collecting the mandatory information for entry into the BUC Registry, prior to the application for carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs).

Assigning the right to apply for carbon data rights certificates

The CDRC Working Body has developed a range of carbon data rights certificate assignment question and answers to help with the process of assigning the right to apply for certificates.

BUC Registry bulk upload guidelines

These guidelines are designed to assist registered agents in understanding the requirements of using the bulk upload functionality of the BUC Registry. Registered agents can use this guideline to create templates or to reference the list of formatting rules for the BUC Registry.

Compliance documentation checklists

These checklists are designed to assist registered agents collect all required information and complete mandatory documents for the application of carbon data rights certificates in accordance with the Carbon Data Rights Certificate Standard 2025.

Forms

These documents are examples of the documentation required to establish eligibility for CDRCs. Registered agents may customise their own CDRC assignment forms and written statements to include additional explanatory text, company logos, or other features.

The registered holder must complete a form assigning the right to apply for CDRCs to the registered agent.

The form must include:

● information on the Certification of Entitlement; and

● an outline of any financial incentive provided in exchange for the right to apply for CDRCs.
