Metering requirements

We are transitioning from Carbon Credit Certifications to Carbon Data Rights Certificates. BRUs projects must meet all digital monitoring, record-keeping and auditing requirements when executing your project. The BidCarbon Standard Scheme demands that project proponents provide ledger data.

The project proponent is responsible for collecting data and using metering equipment to specify the file format, which is then transferred to the BidCarbon DMRV App, Generate serial number data. This ensures the data is available for assessing eligibility in BRU claims.

You must upload your data as a .csv or .xlsx file.

All information listed must match the details in the Register a Project section.

Uploading data

To upload your serial number data, you need to have a current BRU account.

To upload:

open the BidCarbon DMRV App

log in to your BRU account

select 'units'

select 'select project'

select 'upload data'

make your declaration and upload your .csv or .xlsxfile.

Serial numbers as ineligible/invalid

If you uploaded incorrect data, including ineligible facilities or measuring equipment, The TRC's internal audit data manager will mark serial numbers as ineligible. The BRU Registry term is 'invalid'.
