Online Security

Last updated 2 May 2025

Scams are designed to trick you into providing identity, money or financial information.

You can protect yourself and reduce your risk of being exposed by ensuring you:

Do NOT provide your user name and password to others, keep them secure

Keep your antivirus software and definitions up-to-date and run regular checks (scans) of your computer

Stay up-to-date on new email hoaxes and phishing attacks

Be aware of any suspicious correspondence claiming to be from the BidCarbon Foundation, particularly if it relates to extracting user names and passwords, or changes to our published bank account details

For further information on cyber security visit the National Cyber Security Centre website.

You can also refer to the the UK media and communications regulator to learn more about cyber security relating to Spam.

If you have experienced a cyber-incident or suspicious activity relating to a BidCarbon Foundation administered scheme, please contact us on via email at legal@bidcarbon.org
