Health, Safety and Wellbeing Commitment Statement

The BidCarbon Foundation together with its executives, is committed to prioritising the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people. We extend this commitment to our visitors and others who work for us and with us, placing our people’s physical and psychological safety at the heart of everything we do—every day.

We acknowledge our shared duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and the Compensation Act 2006, aligning our health, safety, and wellbeing management and rehabilitation management systems with relevant legislation, in line with United Kingdom and international standards.

We demonstrate our commitment by:

● auditing, monitoring, and reviewing measurable targets to achieve continuous improvement in our safety capabilities

● consulting broadly and encouraging participation, including through ongoing and meaningful engagement with our health and safety representatives

● cooperating and coordinating health and safety activities to achieve positive safety outcomes

● managing injured workers through prompt intervention and rehabilitation to support

● their safe return to work

● offering a comprehensive employee assistance program, including 24/7 counselling, coaching, financial, legal and nutrition support, critical incident support

● providing comprehensive and relevant health, safety and wellbeing training for our people.

We understand that safety is everyone’s responsibility and that to foster a safety culture all of our people must consider how their actions affect others and our workplace, and engage in meaningful, open, and respectful consultation about health, safety and wellbeing matters.

Together we acknowledge our shared responsibilities and roles in promoting a safety culture that is inclusive, supportive, and free from bullying, harassment and discrimination. We commit to taking all reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or otherwise minimise risks to the physical and mental health, safety and wellbeing of our people and others.

Our work is never so urgent or important that we cannot take the time to do it safely.
