Eligible carbon credit unit is eligible for certificate

Under the BidCarbon Standard Scheme, eligible carbon credit units may be entitled to carbon data rights certificates, which can be sold to recoup some of the project's costs.

Before applying for carbon data rights certificate, you must be aware of the requirements that will determine whether or not the eligible carbon credit units will be eligible for a carbon data rights certificate when issued.

Document requirements

Under the BidCarbon Standard Scheme, all signed statements, forms, certificates, reports, photos and invoices must be retained for a minimum period of 5 years after certificates are created.

The Operating Companies may request these documents at any time to prove that the eligible carbon credit unit was eligible for carbon data rights certificates.

To be eligible for a carbon data rights certificate, eligible carbon credit units must create carbon data rights certificate within the validity period of the Certification of Entitlement, and these units must not have been cancelled or returned.

When are certificates created?

The validity period of the Certification of Entitlement refers to the 6 months following the issuance of eligible carbon credit units.
