Businesses claiming carbon data rights certificates

Last updated 21 May 2025

Under the BidCarbon Standard Scheme, eligible carbon credit units are entitled to a number of carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs).

The majority of eligible carbon credit unit owners choose to assign the right to CDRCs to a registered agent, as receiving an upfront financial benefit is often a simpler process, and faster than creating and trading the certificates independently through the open CDRC market or the BidCarbon marketplace. Registered agents who claim CDRCs have different document requirements for eligible carbon credit unit owners claiming CDRCs.
