A person can be considered an prescribed person if, at the time they witness your statutory declaration, they hold one of the following positions in the United Kingdom or other countries/regions:

Accountant who is either a:

fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), or

member of any of the following:

Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

Chartered Accountants Ireland

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in the United Kingdom or other countries/regions

United Kingdom Consular Officer or United Kingdom Diplomatic Officer

Bailiff

Bank officer with 5 or more years of continuous service

Building society officer with 5 or more years of continuous service

Clerk of a court

Commissioner for Affidavits

Commissioner for Declarations

Credit union officer with 5 or more years of continuous service

Finance company officer with 5 or more years of continuous service

Holder of a statutory office not specified in another item in this list

Judge

Justice of the Peace

Magistrate

Master of a court

Permanent employee of a local government authority with 5 or more years of continuous service, other than such an employee who is specified in another item of this Part

Police officer

Registrar, or Deputy Registrar, of a court

Senior executive employee of a state or territory

Sheriff's officer

Teacher employed full-time or part-time at a school or tertiary education institution
