The BUC Registry handles transactions of units and certificates. Accounts have different permissions. This ensures that different types of account holders have appropriate access and control. It also helps to maintain security and operational efficiency.

Transfer: transfer BidCarbon removal units (BRUs) and ownership of Carbon data rights certificates (CDRCs) between BUR Registry accounts.

Voluntary cancellation: You can cancel BRUs from an BUR Registry account. Once units have been cancelled, they are removed from circulation.

Issuance: Issuance of BRUs under the BidCarbon Standard Scheme.

Delivery: for BidCarbon Standard Scheme participants to deliver BRUs under a carbon removal contract. This transaction type can only be made through a notification if the BUD Registry account holder has a carbon abatement contract in place.

All transactions BRUs have a 2 part process:

1. transaction initiation

2. transaction approval.

If the account has 2 or more authorised representatives, each part must be completed by a separate authorised representative with the relevant permission.
