Open market transfers ownership of CDRC

In the BidCarbon marketplace, you can withdraw your CDRCs, transfer CDRCs to a buyer or seller, or withdraw your transfer.

Once you have bought or sold an CDRC, you have to:

accept the transferred certificate from the seller (buying)

transfer the certificate to the buyer (selling).

Transferring a certificate to the buyer

1. Log in to your BUC Registry account

2. In the menu tab, select 'certificates and transfer'

3. Select the page 'certificate transfers'

4. Click for 'transfer certificates' button

5. You will be redirected to the Certificates Market Register page. Enter the 'holding account ID' and select the status ‘registered’

6. Select the 'search' button

7. Select the certificate that is in “Registered” status.

8. Click for 'transferable certificate' 

9. Enter the buyer’s account details and the certificate key.'

10. Upload the Transfer Agreement (JPEG, JPG, PNG format images)

11. You can add a note for the buyer if you wish

12. Select the 'transfer certificates' button

13. The CDRC working body shall issue a notification of approval within 2 working days (China working days). Upon approval, the certificate status will change to ‘pending transfer’. You should receive a confirmation message

You can see your transferred CDRCs under 'Certificates Market Register'. Once the buyer has accepted the transfer, the certificate status will change to ‘invalid due to voluntary offsetting’.

Accepting a transfer from the seller

1. Log in to your BUC Registry account

2. In the menu tab, select 'certificates and transfer'

3. Select Messages to view the notification “You have an incoming transfer of a certificate.”

4. Select 'accept' to confirm. You should receive a confirmation message

View CDRCs awaiting transfer

1. Log in to your BUC Registry account

2. In the menu tab, select 'certificates and transfer'

3. Click for 'transfer certificates' button

4. You will be redirected to the Certificates Market Register page. Enter “Current owner” as the transferor’s account name

5. Select the 'search' button

CDRCs awaiting transfer will display in the ‘Pending transfer’ status.

Withdraw CDRC transfers

1. Log in to your BUC Registry account

2. In the menu tab, select 'certificates and transfer'

3. Select the page 'certificate transfers'

4. Click for 'transfer certificates' button

5. You will be redirected to the Certificates Market Register page. Enter the 'holding account ID' and select the status ‘pending transfer’

6. Select the 'search' button

7. Select the certificate that is in “pending transfer” status.

8. Click for 'withdraw selected transfer'

9. Enter the 'certificate key'

10. Confirm the transfer by clicking 'withdraw'

11.  Pending approval by the CDRC Working Body.

You'll be redirected back to the certificate transfers page and a confirmation message will display.

You can't withdraw a transfer if the buyer has already accepted.
